ABSTRACT: Improving blood pressure control in e… [Nephrol Nurs J. 2012 May-Jun] – PubMed – NCBI

Abstract
Hypertension in patients on hemodialysis (HD) contributes significantly to their morbidity and mortality. This study examined whether a supportive nursing intervention incorporating monitoring, goal setting, and reinforcement can improve blood pressure (BP) control in a chronic HD population. A randomized controlled design was used and 118 participants were recruited from six HD units in the Detroit metro area.
